3 WAYS TO MAKE ROOM IN YOUR HEART

3 WAYS TO MAKE ROOM IN YOUR HEART

2020 came with so many surprises! Surprises that consisted of wins and losses. I don’t know  about you but it kept me clinging for dear life. I constantly wondered if I was headed in the right direction. I did things in 2020 that I have strayed away from in the past. Like being a blogger, podcast host, or anything that would require my life to be under a microscope. Needless to say that 2020 has been a year of making room, making room for the things of God. Making room for my dreams and expectations! Making room in a way that caused me to examine myself and recognize that there were some things I hadn’t surrendered to God! Here are 3 Ways to Make Room in Your Heart for the things of God that I have been putting into practice!

WAYS TO MAKE ROOM IN YOUR HEART

1. KNOW THAT YOU HAVE BEEN MADE NEW IN CHRIST JESUS

First things first know that you have been made new in Christ Jesus. What does that mean? That means in God’s eyes you are a new man, specifically his child. As a child of God, it’s important that you imitate him. The way to imitate him is to live in Christ Jesus and walk in love. When you learn that you32`bm have been made new, the old gets old real fast. Let the old things go and make room for God to do the new thing. You can do this by choosing him when you have the option to do things your old man would thrive in

2. MANIFESTING GOD’S BEST FOR YOUR LIFE IN SPITE OF WHERE YOU ARE

Say yes, to manifesting God’s best for your life in spite of where you are. When I said yes to manifesting God’s best. I was able to embrace my current season, become more intentional, and honestly I’ve just had more peace throughout my life. I honestly have been my best self and have being your best self is not just good for you. It’s good for those that you encounter.

3. KEEPING YOUR MIND ON THINGS ABOVE

You ever hear of the phrase “Stop the stinkin thinkin.” One thing that you have to do to make sure you’re making room for the things of God is pull down thoughts that try to exalt themselves above Him. If a thought is not put there by him then don’t entertain it. One way to do this is by inspecting the fruit. Are you thinking things that cause you to be angry or frustrated or lash out at others, even to think negatively of yourself? If so it’s definitely time to check your thought process. If you need help on how to Stop the stinkin thinkin check out this blog post.

You have one heart to fill and what you fill it with determines so much! I hope you would fill it with the things of God!
